(All information is provisional at this stage and may be subject to slight changes before the wedding, so please check again beforehand to be on the safe side.)
Reception
Feel free to wear whatever you feel comfortable in at a wedding. Friday evening is rather informal (although we would be delighted if you dressed in a medieval or fantasy style to match the location :)). On Saturday, you are welcome to dress a little more festively and smartly.
The most important thing for us is that you spend this special day with us – no gift is necessary. However, if you would still like to give us something, we would be delighted to receive a financial contribution towards our future together.
The wedding ceremony will take place in the "Rittersaal" (knights' hall) of the Oberburg. We will make sure that everyone who wants to attend the wedding ceremony will have a seat.
This will be followed by a champagne reception, which will take place indoors or outdoors, depending on the weather.
The party will take place in the ballroom at the front of the building.

We have hired a professional photographer for the entire day to accompany us and capture the most beautiful moments for us.
The photos taken will then be shared electronically with all guests.
Of course, you are welcome to take photos yourself – and we would be delighted if you shared them with us later.
However, we kindly ask you to refrain from taking your own photographs during the wedding ceremony. Our photographer will take special care to ensure that no moment is lost!
There are plenty of quiet areas in the castle and in the immediate vicinity of the ballroom.
Rooms are also available for children so that they can sleep close to the celebration.
For those arriving at the castle on Friday, we are planning a relaxed, informal pizza dinner on site.
On Sunday morning, overnight guests are invited to a communal breakfast, which is included in the accommodation costs and therefore paid for by the guests themselves. If you would like to join us at the castle without staying overnight, please get in touch with us.

Castle
We have reserved a certain number of beds in the castle for the period from Friday to Sunday, which you can book directly through us. Please contact us using the re-registration form or directly. All information on this and other accommodation options can also be found on the page Accomodation. For small children, it would definitely be a good idea to bring your own travel cot.
Because we have booked the castle for the entire weekend, we give preference to guests who wish to stay for two nights.
If you only want to stay for one night, you will find other accommodation options in the surrounding area. We also have a few tips on this on the page "Accomodation".
We must check out of the rooms by 11:00 a.m. However, you are welcome to remain at the castle for as long as you wish and enjoy a relaxing end to the weekend. The castle will also be open to day visitors from 1:00 p.m. onwards.
By car: From Koblenz, drive for just under half an hour on the A48 towards Kaisersesch until you reach the "Kaifenheim" exit. From there, drive through the villages of Kaifenheim and Roes. After Roes, turn right into the forest towards the castle. The castle is signposted and we will decorate the entrance from Friday onwards so that you can't miss it. There is more than enough parking space directly at the castle.
By train/public transportation: The nearest long-distance train station is Koblenz. From there, take the RE 1 (toward Saarbrücken) to Treis-Karden. From the Treis-Karden train station, take bus 749 (toward Dorfkrug, Roes) to the stop "Burg Pyrmont, Roes".
If you get stranded somewhere, let us know and we'll make sure you get to the castle.
We are free to move around the castle throughout the weekend. Please note, however, that the castle itself is not child-proof (high walls, uneven steps, wells). The castle is somewhat isolated, which can make reception difficult, even though we have fibre optic Wi-Fi throughout the castle. In addition, the walls are very thick (baby monitors). Unfortunately, animals are not allowed in the castle.
There is also a strict ban on confetti, rice grains, and similar items being thrown anywhere on the castle grounds!

That depends entirely on what you have planned, of course. There is nothing special that you needto remember to bring. If you need anything special, please feel free to contact us or our best man/maid of honor (if you don't want us to know about it). It's a good idea to bring something warmer to wear in autumn, as castles can be a bit draughty. Otherwise, don't forget to bring your party spirit!
